ABOUT
BEN

Since starting the trombone aged 7 music has been a huge part of his life. Living a duel life between classical and rock/pop his career has certainly been varied.

The trombone led him to many career highlights including graduating from the Royal College of Music, playing at the Albert Hall, Festval Hall, Buckingham Palace and The Kennedy Arts Centre in Washington DC.

As a drummer Ben has performed over 600 function gigs, played big festivals (Glastonbury, Bestival, Latitude, Sziget) and has performed on over 100 recordings in the studio.

After graduating from music college Ben worked for PlayStation in London in the audio department for the popular game SingStar.

Since recording with his first bands in his teens the studio has always fascinated him and in 2011 he left London and moved back to Portsmouth to pursue a career in audio production. He soon became owner and manager of The Old Blacksmiths Studios where he worked with hundreds of bands and artists accross the South of England.

In 2025 Ben made the decision to close the studio and build a new one at his residence in Havant, UK. Taking all his knowledge from the past 14 years (and some insulation!) Little Piggy Studios was born.
